| I Knew It. Today, we presented our Investigatory Project Report. We went to the faculty room to remind our judges. Sad to say, they were not available because they had a meeting at 3:20. We booked the Audio Visual Room for 3:10 pm. Instead, our Science teacher acted as our judge. In the end, we really did well even if there were some minor errors. We did a really good job and I'm thankful for our efforts. I just knew it that it was a good omen. When we were on our way to school, Blue Sky by Hale was playing from the car radio. I told my sister that it's a sign. I mean, I really like Hale! So there. After school, when everything was done, we were on our way back to the house when Blue Sky was played again. I don't know if it just was mere coincidence but, so what? I was really happy! Now, I need to know how we scored... I'm curious... I love you Hale! Praise fate! I'll always be one of the many Halers. | | |
| Makes You Think. The Star Thrower by Loren Eisley A young man was picking up objects off the beach and tossing them out into the sea. A second man approached him and saw that the objects were starfish.
"Why in the world are you throwing starfish into the water ?" "If the starfish are still on the beach when the tide goes out and the sun rises high in the sky, they will die," replied the young man. "That is ridiculous. There are thousands of miles of beach and millions of starfish. You can't really believe that what you're doing could possibly make a difference !" The young man picked up another starfish, paused thoughtfully, and remarked as he tossed it out into the waves, "It makes a difference to this one".

| Tests-slash-Quizzes Yeah, I have to talk about school. You would have guessed that anyway when you read the heading of this new entry. Today, we had a Long Test in Social Studies. 32 pages to study from the book. 50 items. Got two mistakes. That was a relief! Then, there was a 10-item quiz in English. After lunch was a Science quiz. Ocean Water. 12 items. Got 15/12. How? Well, before the test, students who volunteered to answer a question about the topic would get PLUS two if they answered it correctly. I was NOT one of those. At the last question, our teacher automatically picked me. Why? Because I'm top 1 in the class (I'm not bragging. I hate to b-r-a-g!) WHY ME!?! I mean, I don't volunteer to because I want to give chance to the others. A PLUS two in the test can really help them, you know? So I answered the question and got it. And there's another plus one if you check using RED ballpen. That's a bonus for almost everybody! Pretty easy, huh? I was the highest in class. Again. Sheesh, I'm getting tired. Someone else has to be one for a change, right? Not always me, me, me. On Monday, we have a test in Filipino. A Long Test in Computer and another one in English. This is going to be a heck of a weekend. Stressing, totally. On Tuesday, Long Test in Christian Living. Why do teachers have to do these all before the exams? Yeah, Third Quarter Exams next, next week. So there, this entry exxplains everything. I don't believe in crossed fingers but I do believe in good luck... | | |
| When All Seems Wrong Before I even start this entry, I would like to greet everyone a Happy Year of the Fire Pig! It's a start of a new chapter in our lives. Let's all leave everything behind. Goodbye 2006, Hello 2007! Now it's another time for some reflection, okie? Dokie! So here goes: Is there a time when things don't go as you thought or planned they will? Have you not been frustrated when everything seems to be just the opposite? When all seems wrong, you can't go on further. In those times, what have you done? Cried over them? Sat in a corner of your room? Got angry with yourself? Never bother with your conscience. Simply do what you know is RIGHT. Don't think about how these things ended up not the way you liked them to be. Better yet, think of other solutions or some strategies. I'm going to end this by saying: When all seems wrong, let the leaves fall off but, let the trees keep on growing. Don't understand what this saying of mine means? Well, just read between the lines. I have to unwind now. See ya! Marzzy

| ...of Doors and Butterflies. . . as I decided that I'd love again, I was not conscious that I was chasing for love, as one would chase a butterfly. The more I chase it, the more it eluded me. So I was hurt in the process. The more I focused on the butterfly, the more I stumble. The more I ran into ditches. The more I stumble myself.
Now I've decided not to chase a butterfly anymore. I'll get busy with my other priorities. Like living. I believe that as I live my life, as my life becomes colorful regardless of the presence or absence of love, that butterfly will soon come back to me, to nudge me, to tease me, and tempt me. Then will I decide if I am ready. . . once again.
Reaction/Realization:
Do you feel like this too, sometimes? We sometimes tend to "chase" love after we have lost it. It is compared to a butterfly. Not easy to catch, not easy to chase too. As much as we want to love again, to learn to love again, the more it escapes from our grasp, right? It's best not to follow the butterfly. As mentioned, you'll only stumble and fall.
For me, it's just right to not chase the butterfly---YET. Cool off a bit and make first your other priorities and important things in life. Focus on them first, before loving again. Life is colorful indeed. Even if we know it would be more colorful with LOVE in the air, it will still come back when time is right and appropriate. It will pull you like a magnet. As mentioned, it will nudge you, tease you and tempt you. Until then, it is for you to decide whether to go for it and be ready to once again, fall in love... as long as you know it's time.
How about you? What do you think? Share your insights on this if you want. =D
